This is my entry for CG Excellence contest 2008, the theme is Cartoon. My concept for this painting is what would happen when characters from Japanese cartoon, Anime come to the world of the western cartoon.

The nameless one, descendant of Trocero, guardian to The Forbidden Ground where the Demon Lord and his evil army were banished by the heavenly knight, Warlord who was sent by the God centuries ago. Like his ancestor, he too keeps his ancestor's vow to guard the Forbidden Ground, to the extent that he would live there all by himself, a burden too heavy for any man. Although he was respected and loved, he is a unsociable, lonely and reserved yet justice man.

This is the character i designed based on the short story above which was written and given to me by my lecturer as my concept art class assignment. Comments and critiques are welcome.
